It’s sublimely daunting, refreshing, gut wrenching , mildly terrifying, joyous, carnival streamer-throwing wheeeeeee, as I douse and drench myself in this pursuit to etch once again, and look at the materials I have to start up quickly again!
I am going down to look at and photograph okd plates and look at my red metal okd still shiny rectangular box with etching materials inside! i need to get started as I do everytging from updating my okd resume, write my Artistic Statement, get things organized in chronological order, photograph my art, etc.
It's a whole lot and I am daily / nightly chipping away at it all, being careful, thoughtful, steady, serious for the most part, childish and carefree for the other - paying close attention to what makes me me
and not you -
no offence!

my tools to etch in my took box
my zinc plates , i etched front and back of plates to be economical and because I was inspired and lots of ideas to etch and little time!

my etching tools close up
i used a pecil wax red color to draw broadly on the surface to make this etching to print from, i like these less concrete lines etched so I have more discretion when making my prints.
mire to come! sante a tous et merci pour tous aussi!
I etched at the Atelier 17 and also later with Joelle Serve at her Atelier 63 as her assistant teaching when she was not in the atelier!
