I learned French in prt at the Alliance Francaise and here is a page or two from one of my writing pads practicing writing and learning French.
Provenance and detail recording of events help establish where and when and how and by whom, and maybe why, too , certain things were done.
Titled : " Essaye de toujours garder des yeux d'un enfant " Monday, November 27, 1987 I made this print at Atelier 17 after the first print I made, on zinc plates both, under the direction of William Stanley Hayter that made these two drawings on two seperate occasions illustrating what he wanted us to accomplish , and the arriving at a 3-D effect on a flat surface.
two of my first plate prints I did after instruction from Bill Hayter himself! done on Arches paper black and white and the burgundy colored one done on the papervthe Atelier 17 provided to make test prints! sante a tous! Tony
2/7/2026 happy Daturday night as Zi include these two prints of the same zinc plate.
I wrote sometimes on the back of my etchings done in Paris, France either at Atelier 17 or Atelier 63, and I am so grateful that I did as memory fades and it is easy to get things mixed up and often not accurate.
I think this print accomplished the exciting world on land and under the sea so that the two become one and indistinguishable from the other!
