One and the same, the same Rachid Sabaghi I met in Paris, France in 1979 that lived at 93 Avenue Paul Doumer in the 16th arrondisement in a chamber du Bonne - maid’s room, on the 8eme et age, my room number #20 across from a Turkish toilet, his down the hall by the sardine-size toilet 2-3 sardines at a time max, with his girlfriend Dina/ Dena - spelling!?!?!

Rachid Sabaghi had abrilliant smile that covered all his faceand lit up the room, and that was balanced by his thoughtful, introspective wordly view of life in self and outside in the elements, a writer, thinker, questioner soooooo alrmingly and invitingly intense tgat one could not help but be drawn into his sphere to be teased and pleased and eased and uneased! In searching for him on the internet this is what Google search led me to. Rachid and Dina came to our small hambre de bonne in Neuilly , the suburb of Paris, when I worked for Alain Levy and took care of his two boys. This is what he wrote in my yellow Dessin " J "bervis 546 notebook - Rachis also wrote under my artist's proof etching " Freedom of Choice / Choice of Freedom " , and I discovered this Unesco piece of writing on the current value and dilemna facing teachers with the internet and social media . I used my fi ger tip prints on this etching, pulled from the ink left from the hardd and soft rollers on the sides of this zinc plate on the glass. I think I may have applied my fingerprints after pulling the print off the plate!? I am not sure, may have applied them to the zinc plate before making the print? The print framed by Thomas Moore Archival framing in Adam's Morgan, northwest Washington DC in tge alley way there in the 1980's. They did fine work there! Are these two Rachid Sabaghis one and the same!?
And the beat and pulse and search goes on! Happy Tuesday today,nJanuary 27,2026 @ 11:35am here now bathed in tge sunshine and reflected light off the solid rock snow sleet ice outside !
